We Choose to Show Up.
Foss Cares is how we support the people and causes that matter most to our employees and our customers — with our dollars and with our time.
Giving is easy. Impact takes focus.
We have always given back. Foss Cares is what happens when we stop giving a little to everything and start giving meaningfully to the things our people care about most.
The program does two things. It concentrates our financial donations where they can actually move something. And it puts our employee volunteer hours behind the same intent, so our contribution isn’t only measured in dollars.
Three ways Foss Cares Shows Up.
Strategic Donations & Partnerships
Major gifts, multi-year partnership commitments, and our largest charitable contributions — the relationships we intend to build over years, not cheques we write once.
- Focus
- Mental health and youth mentorship. Other causes are considered on their merits.
Local Community Support
Every business unit holds its own annual giving budget and chooses the charities and causes that resonate with its own team and its own neighbourhood.
- Focus
- Guided by group themes, but chosen by each business unit.
Volunteer Time
We pay our team members for pre-approved volunteer hours during company time. Not everyone has the money to give. All of us have time — and we want to help with that.
- Who
- Open to Foss Group employees across all three platforms.
Two causes we keep coming back to.
These are our strategic priorities, not our only ones. Requests outside these areas are welcome and will be considered on their merits — particularly through Local Community Support, where each business unit chooses what matters most to its own team.
Mental Health
Access to care shapes everything downstream — school, work, family, a life in motion. We back the organizations closing the gap between needing help and getting it, particularly for young people in the communities where our people live and work.
Youth Mentorship
Almost no one gets anywhere alone. Getting there takes someone who showed up. We support the programs that put a steady adult in a young person’s corner — and the pathways that turn potential into a first real opportunity.
Three paths in. Start with the one that fits.
What we look at: the impact the support will have on the community, how the funds or hours will be used, and the timeframe of the initiative.

What showing up has looked like.
CMHA York Region — MOBYSS

Vaughan International Film Festival
A sponsorship that includes presenting the Best Student Film Award — backing young creative talent in our own city.
Vaughan & Daily Bread Food Banks
Thornhill and Woodbridge teams collecting for the Vaughan Food Bank in support of World Hunger Day, and sorting donations at Daily Bread in Toronto.
Drive for a Cause
Roy Foss proudly partnered with LVLUP Soccer Club in 2026 through our year-long Drive for a Cause initiative, supporting more than 850 young athletes and their families.
